Yes, I have mods. But none of them SHOULD be interfering with fishing and ALL have the latest updates. But my sim that lives full time in Sulani no longer can fish, can only fish from the boat, just like it did before the "fix" EA did awhile back. I did try it out after the patch, but haven't played her in a bit, as I am playing a rotational play. But there it is. There seems to be nowhere she can fish in the world again. Is ANYONE else experiencing this?
Yes, this happened as well couple times. I just thought it was because another sim had engaged with the boat that she wanted to go fish from. When there was nobody else around it didn't happen. She could just easily go and fish from the boat but it annoys me that she won't fish from the designated fishing place since there's better fish there.
I decided that since I could still fish from the boat, she could still make her living and I can keep playing this save. But something is wrong for it to occur. And with a totally new game reset, with no mods, completely vanilla install, it still occurred with my save. Will it happen with a new save? I don't know, I REALLY don't want to try to start a new game and save to find out. This is the save I have begun building and as far as I could tell, with every mod in the game the newest, I can't see what I did to break the save. It still occurs with all of the mods gone when I put that save into the new, vanilla game. So, in my opinion, it's still related to whatever caused the original bug. But it's my opinion. I am only the expert of my opinion.
Fishing sign spots in sulani do not work and hasn’t in a very long time if ever. You can queue up the interaction and the sim will show the stuck/can’t access thought bubble and doesn’t go through it. I play on a PS5
