Hi, I haven't been able to move past this quest, even though I have upgraded multiple objects, and have read the handiness book multiple times. I haven't found any broken items to repair so have not ...

Upgrading an item and reading a handiness book is to raise their handiness skill up the required handiness skill level 2, not to complete the taskmagpam A way to make an object to break so that your sim can repair it is to put a stereo outside in the rain. It then will break and your sim can repair it when it isn’t raining.
