Jealousy - causing anger for no reason

Sims 4 - I am seeing this again and again so I am reporting. My Sims - male and female - are reacting with anger from seeing their spouse flirt with someone - but it has not happened. I could not have happened. So the  angry spouse is in a bad mood for no reason.

  • @simstr0ng Probably you did not pick it up. But if one of your Sims has a romantic trait or the Sims your Sim encounters it could well be happening. As soon as you see a flirty mood appearing you should be alert.
    Have fun playing 😉

Yea, I would consider that a bug in the game. If I have a sim be romantic with another sim and later on use the option "Ask to just be friends", their romance level will go away, but they will STILL keep flirting spontaneously and just build it back up. It's very annoying.

Plus, as you said, if a sim is flirty, they will spontaneously flirt with anyone, and anger their spouse... so flirty sims are always at risk for that. As you said, have to be vigilant when a sim is flirty and you want them to be faithful.
  • It's really a strange situation! It seems that your Sims might be too sensitive to interactions that aren't actually happening. This could be related to how the game processes emotions and relationships. I would suggest checking if any mods or custom content are causing this issue. If you’re using any mods, it might be worth temporarily disabling them and seeing if anything changes.

Also, sometimes Sims react to “social rumors,” so it’s possible that someone from the neighborhood or friends spread rumors about flirting, even if it only happened in their imagination. Try strengthening their relationship; perhaps that will improve the situation! Don't you think this could be related to the dynamics between the Sims?😇
