Labor at the hospital

Do you have Mods or CC? If you do, please try moving your Mods folder to your desktop and delete the localthumbnailcache.package file, plus delete any other folder in the "'The Sims 4' folder with the word 'cache' in the title. If this fixes the situation you can re-add your Mods/CC one at a time to see if one was causing the issue. when choosing to have the baby in hospital I have never registered... just let my sim do whatever and at one point she just goes into the machine and has a baby... I usually ignore the desk... I don't know whether that is of any help to you?

@107531kop makes an excellent point. I have only used the hospital few times over the years (vs. just having the baby at home), and I didn't remember how much of it is done by choice and how much is autonomous.

@foureyeskiddo  So... I went into my game and tested today.

I found that if I chose to 'Have Baby at Hospital' and went with:

• If I chose to "Check In" with the person at the front desk everything seems to take over as autonomous after that - no other choices are needed in the process. The sim will go back to the room with (or to join) the doctor on their own and get on the table, have the baby, etc. The only other thing you do is name the baby.
• If I do nothing (do not chose to "Check In" with the person at the front desk) everything seems to take over as autonomous no choices are needed in the process (as @107531kop stated). The sim will go back to the room with (or to join) the doctor on their own and get on the table, have the baby, etc. The only other thing you do is name the baby.

If you find that your sim does not progress on their own to the room in a short time (wait and see... depending on how soon you went to the hospital after labor started there may be a slight delay), or if the sim's labor does not seem to progress and things are frozen or some other scenario that is unusual, then I would check on any Mods/CC (as mentioned above) if you have any. If you don't have the labor progress, and you don't have Mods/CC, we can do further troubleshooting to look further for what is going on.

Would it be possible for you to share a screenshot of what you see in the queue(s) or other unusual things?

I typically just reset my sim if this happens, or I go home and then come back. I've noticed that sometimes the doctor leaves so you can't give birth at all :/ it's kind of annoying. 

@StuckInYourBox I find the whole hospital delivery annoying and bizarre. I was wondering - do you use Mods or CC? I'm curious if sims are getting stuck like this with no Mods/CC, as I could not reproduce, so this is helpful to confirm. Thanks!!
