Laptop specs for Sims 4
Hi, Can anyone help? I intend to buy a laptop and cannot decide between Acer swift 3 or aspire 5. Is the specs good enough to play Sims 4 in high or ultra settings? And is it recommended for gaming?...
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me out. I am buying a new laptop for school but I would also like to play the sims 4 with all packs on ultra settings (no cc or mods really). I found this laptop for a good price in my country, it is the Lenovo Ideapad L340 with a 1080p 60 Hz screen.
The specs are:
Processor: Intel Core i5 9300H
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 512 GB SSD
Graphics card: Geforce GTX 1650 4 GB
@cookiinut That should do quite well. Its graphics card is capable of running all current Sims 4 packs together on ultra graphics settings, with some room to spare. It may or may not quite be capable of ultra settings by the time the game is out of development—we don't know how demanding future packs will be—but a mix of high and ultra should always be fine.
The other hardware is good too: the processor is more than strong enough, there's plenty of storage, and getting 16 GB RAM is a nice bonus, since most laptops in this category only have 8.
Since the next faster graphics card (an AMD RX 5500M) is uncommon and the next one after that (an Nvidia 1660 ti) usually significantly more expensive, laptops with a 1650 are usually the recommendation for people who care about performance but don't want to spend a fortune. So for what you want out of it, I think this Lenovo is an excellent choice.
