Stuck on infinite loading screen when trying to load a specific rental

I downloaded a lot from the gallery, made it into a residential rental. I had a household buy it, it loaded up correctly again. I then moved the same household into one of the units via the map (as I understand it sims should be able to live in rentals they own? but maybe this is the issue?). When I try to load the unit now it get's stuck on infinite loading. I then tried loading the unit via build mode and it also got stuck. I evicted the family but still get stuck when trying to load via build mode. I then tried moving another family into another unit, same issue.

- I'm playing on this lot: San Sequoia Townhomes by simswithsarah. But I've made it into a Residential Rental.
- I'm playing with the Robles family as they come, no changes made (except that they've had their baby), on the lot that they live on in per default.

Things I've tried:
- Loading other rentals in the save file, OK.
- Moving the household out and then back in
- Visiting the lot with another family
- I've tried moving another family in
- I've deleted my cache
- I played with a few mods but have removed all mods from the Mods folder and tried above again.
- I've tried placing another lot on top of it, but it just gets stuck on Building lot forever
- Doing this all again in a brand new save file: I hade massive issues BUT they went away after I cleared the cache. Unfortunately the troubles still remain om my main save file.

I'm playing on PC
As for computer specs, that shouldn't be an issue
I get no lastExceptions when this happens
I have basically all packs except a couple of kits

Any ideas how to fix my main save file? :( I want to delete the lot and start over but we're not able to delete lots from the map, and since I can't load it with in build mode I'm out of ideas...

  • Hello crinrict - your reply gave me the idea to go through all old versions of this save file, and my backup one had a version before this error! So I reverted back to that one. Thank you so much for your help 💝

  • Hi Enaselin

Would you be willing to share your save with me ?

If so, upload it somewhere like dropbox, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.

I'm having the same issue and can't figure out a way to get it to load. Could I please get you to go over my save file?

    HI sherryberry1233

what troubleshooting steps have you tried yourself yet ? Are you using mods/cc and did you test without them ?

I have no mods or cc. I would really like for my current household to purchase this lot and keep it on the same save file.

I've tried everything op did and:

    • Cleaned up the sims 4 documents file
    • Took away clutter and objects on the rental lot before attempting purchase
    • Moved the household into the lot before purchased as a rental
    • Kept the household in a different lot and purchased separate rental
