Loading screen stuck after CAS – MacBook Air M4

I am experiencing a bug where the game gets permanently stuck on the loading screen every time I try to play a household after creating it in CAS.

Platform: MacBook Air M4 (2025), macOS (latest)
Game version: Latest (downloaded via EA App)
Mods/CC: None
Expansion packs: Seasons and city living

Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch The Sims 4 via the EA App
2. Start a new game or load an existing save
3. Create a new household in CAS
4. Click the checkmark to finish and place the household in a world
5. The loading screen appears and never progresses — the game is permanently stuck

    I am having the same issue on my windows PC. I have tried everything form clean reboot, uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache, no mods or cc, new saved files, no DLCs, and everything in-between. I'm stuck just like the loading screen is.

    puffpuff06​ Does it happen on a new save too or only on an existing ?

    Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

    • Delete the ones you have
    • Trigger the error again
    • Check if new ones are created
    • If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

    Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.
