Loading screen stuck after CAS – MacBook Air M4
I am experiencing a bug where the game gets permanently stuck on the loading screen every time I try to play a household after creating it in CAS. Platform: MacBook Air M4 (2025), macOS (latest) Game version: Latest (downloaded via EA App) Mods/CC: None Expansion packs: Seasons and city living Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch The Sims 4 via the EA App 2. Start a new game or load an existing save 3. Create a new household in CAS 4. Click the checkmark to finish and place the household in a world 5. The loading screen appears and never progresses — the game is permanently stuck
Error in game
In The Sims, I can create a character, dress them, and save them to my library, although I started getting an error there too. But when I buy a house and start a new game, I can't enter it. The game glitches, and on the left side I see some blue squares. I can't enter the household at all. I can click to start over, but if I try to load another family, it glitches every time anyway. I thought it was caused by mods or something, but I removed all the new mods, and this wasn't happening before, so I think it must have been caused by the update. I don't know what to do because I'd really like to play, but I can't.
My Sim can't visit the aliens.
Every time I send my Sim to another planet, I can't do anything. It only lets me do the first action, and then I can't do anything else. I can't even close the game because it gets stuck on the loading or saving screen. The first time I tried, it wouldn't let me do anything. The second time, it didn't even get to the planet because it just kept loading. And the third time, I still couldn't do anything. I previously reported a bug where my Sim couldn't do anything in the normal world, but that only happened in another game that also happened in Strangerville. I don't know if it's a problem with the world or a bug in the game. Aside from this, in the last few days every time I saved, it just kept loading indefinitely. I lost my game progress at least four times, and it's starting to get frustrating.Whenever my game comes to a loading screen it wont actually load.
at first I created a new sim and it went to the loading screen so I could select their lot. However, it just continued loading and wouldn't leave the loading screen. I thought this was a fluke so I force quit the game and went back to playing. Thankfully my sim was saved and I got to select her lot. But, when I went to leave her the loading screen once again would not load. I even made sure y computer was up to date and the game. This issue has happened about 10 times and I am a little frustrated. I just wanted to play sims 😭.
