Lot Traits

I actually use Island Spirits surprisingly frequently. I also tend to like Homey and Private Dwelling.

Depending on the story I'm telling, I may also use Chef's Kitchen, Peace and Quiet, Natural Light, Great Acoustics, or Fast Internet. If I want a pet, I'll probably turn on dog or cat hangout at least long enough for my sim to befriend and a adopt a stray.

For lot challenges - I almost always have Simple Living on. Quake Zone can occasionally be fun, and if I'm playing a rags-to-riches type story I'll often start off with filthy and off the grid as well. Plus I have mods that add lot challenges to make gardening more difficult - more frequent bugs, dry soil, occasional blight, etc.
