Love this game, but oh, the bugs!
I have been playing Sims 4 in all my spare time for some weeks now. I can't believe how much I love it and am into it. I have tried all sorts of different things. I can't imagine running out of thing...

Yet, here I am repairing again (instead of playing). I am trying out the freelancer digital artist career, and I have experienced something with that one that I did not experience in the other two. Namely, I chat with my client, and yet it doesn't satisfy for the job. It still shows 0/1. I have done it multiple times at different times of day, even left the house, came back, but nothing works. Frustrating.
And repair worked. I'm glad it did, but it continues to frustrate me how often I have to stop and repair. Anyway, game on!

I'm glad the repair worked for your last problem! That is one less problem that you have to worry about! 🙌 And at least you can see why so many people recommend this even if it doesn't always work!
I do know that the longer you have a save game, the more likely strange things will happen. But strange things can happen in newer games too.
You can always delete you cache files. You can delete :
Cache folder
Cachestr folder
onlinethumbnailcache folder
localthumbcache.package file

There are quite a few things mentioned that might be of help to you. Some of them you will have already tried, but there might be some new things that will help! 🤞 You might have the best luck with the section called "Resetting the game to factory settings without reinstalling" 🙂 But please look at the others, as you might find other helpful tips!
- @PugLove888 Clearing the cache seems to help a bit. I do it fairly often. To make it easier, I created a batch file to do it for me. Just run it and it's done.

I call it "Clearcache.bat"
Just stick that in my The Sims 4 folder and run it occasionally. I'm back ...
Political career ... I have to "Promote Cause", but the only option close to that I have under Friendly - Political Career is "Promote Policies". I have done this successfully to multiple people, but it does not satisfy the Work from Home Assignment.
I hate to admit, but I am becoming more and more frustrated with this game. I really want to enjoy it and explore all it has to offer, but it is so utterly riddled with bugs. It only adds to the frustration that I have to repair and clean it so often. It is ridiculous that such maintenance on our end should be part of the "normal" game-playing experience.
The revenge of I'm back.
Went to play foosball, challenged another sim to satisfy a whim, and then, my sim would not stop playing. I cancelled the action, gave other actions, tried to get them to walk away, do anything else, even go to the bathroom as that need plunged into the yellow, but nope. Sim just would not stop playing. I had to finally just travel from the lot. And now my sim has an embarrassed moodlet for two hours from backing down from a foosball challenge. That is ridiculous! Does the world just stop for foosball?
Sure would be nice if these bugs were gone ...
