Lovestruck - turn on and turn offs - mood based pop ups or not? storytelling?

HI! Been playing with the new pack/new update and i have a question about the turn on/offs. I haven't played for long (a couple of hours) so this might change but i was wondering if the turn on/offs get pop ups like with likes and dislikes? When you are listening to a song in a bad mood you will get a pop up asking you if you dislike that genre of music etc. 

Or do i have to choose them in CAS always? is there any storytelling involved in the turn on/offs? Like if i go on a date with someone.. and he happens to be an ambitions musician do i have to manually add that to my turn ons/offs? i'm not sure how that would even work lol. I thought about this because my sim just turned young adult and like.. she's 20ish?? it feels kinda stupid to pick her life long turn ons. sorry if this is badly written haha, not native english speaker. but hopefully you get what i mean :D
