Lovestruck's Change In Likes/Dislikes
I'm yet to update my game to the most recent patch and am playing offline, as I'm concerned for running into issues I've seen here and on other forums. Of course I'm also awaiting mods to get sorted.
That stated, I always set my sims' Likes (I don't bother with Dislikes) to the maximum of 50 so as to avoid undesirable or senseless autonomous additions.
(As example, an Artist who hates painting. A Chef who hates cooking/baking. Good grief, no.)
Although, I've noticed on watching others' reviews that the menu for Likes/Dislikes has changed quite drastically. My question relates to what would happen to their current Likes/Dislikes settings as some appear to be replaced/changed up? Would they reset entirely if already set on sims? Would Likes/Dislikes remaining from the previous version still be set as they were, whilst obsolete L/Ds would be gone?
I apologise if these questions are confusing. I'm confused, myself.
Okay. Once again, my sims have the max 50 of 50 Likes/Dislikes already set. What happens to those with the newly structured update? (Should've started with that.)
Anyway, to be very safe, I plan to remove all L/Ds from every of my played sims before I eventually update, then backup that save along with the usual folders. I'm curious, though, whether that's even necessary.
@SovereignSims I have the game on two devices, one is updated and had Lovestruck, the other is not updated (i.e. has not had the Tuesday, July 23/24 pre Lovestruck base game update).
I went through and gave my test sim 50 likes (I don't do dislikes either) in a save on the pre update version of the game. I then saved and put a copy of that save on my updated/post Lovestruck version of the game. Also, while the location of the standard likes/dislikes has moved around, the actual categories are the same, with the only exception being that Lovestruck added one new category, similar to how previous packs have done.

I also went through and checked the individual likes and they have stayed the same.
Note that while the number of likes/dislikes available for the attraction system is also 50, they are separate from the 50 likes/dislikes for regular dislikes (just in case you thought it might be a total of 50 combined for both).
Note both versions of the game (pre and post update) have no mods/cc.
