[LS] "Ask to Create a Date" phone does not work successfully

McGravy158​ Where are you trying to hold the date?  Which world and lot?  There are some locations in the game where invited sims do not spawn in front of the lot.  Instead, they will spawn at spawn points that are far enough away where it takes a long time to reach your sim.  So, for lack of better way to say it, the clock runs out before they get there and the date auto fails.  Over time, you'll learn which lots do this.  There are a couple of ways to get around it.  You can invite the sim over and when they arrive, then ask them directly to start the date.  Another way is to select the sim and travel somewhere then travel back together.  Once both sims are on the lot, start the date.

Thank you for the response! Unfortunately, I don't believe that's the issue here. I am playing in Willow Creek's Pendula View neighborhood, on the Hallow Slough lot. When I invite someone over just using the phone, when I start a yard sale, and when I schedule dates (create a date or base game date), sims always spawn at the spot circled in the attached picture, just outside my house.

When this bug happens, the invited sim does not seem to spawn into the neighborhood at all when I start the date. I am able to open their profile from the relationship panel and have the option to call them to invite them over, despite just initiating a date with them (they always say they will be right there but then still do not show up). There is no option to lock on them or follow them like there would be if they had spawned in the neighborhood but farther away.
