[Mac] Toddler can't interact with doctor playsets

Product: The Sims 4

Platform: Mac

Which language are you playing the game in? English

How often does the bug occur? Every time

What is your current game version number? 1.107.151.1220

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get Together, Home Chef, City Living, Blooming Rooms, Realm of Magic, Vintage Glamour, Seasons, Eco Lifestyle, Parenthood, Kids Room Stuff, Spa Day, Dream Home Decorator, Toddler Stuff, Cottage Living, Holiday Celebration, Discover University, Get to Work, Tiny Living, Laundry Day, Movie Hangout, Cats & Dogs, Nifty Knitting, Backyard Stuff.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a playable toddler in the household and buy the Tum Tum Teddy Doctor Playset or the Boo Boo Billy Doctor Playset from the parenthood pack. Place it on the floor and try to interact with it as the toddler.

What happens when the bug occurs? You can not interact with the object despite it lighting up like an interactable object and no interaction menu pops up.

What do you expect to see? That the toddler can interact with it and build skills.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Never had this problem until about a week or two ago. Since then I have been having a lot of issues with the game in general and it gets worse over time. The only thing I did recently was buy the Home Chef pack.

I tried to repair the game through the Origin launcher and it didn’t help. I also did the factory reset and that didn’t do anything either. I have cleared the cash files, no change.

  • @beckycupka   Hello!  The doctor playsets can only be used by Child sims.  The description states the item "Supports Children" and adds to  "Mental Skill".  I believe it also helps Child sims build on their Empathy Character Value.

I double checked with a Toddler in my game.  The playset did light up and I got a hand cursor but no options.  I'm not sure why it does that, though.  I'm just guessing this is an oversight, since only Child sims can use it.
