mail box bug??

i was playing the sims 4, gave me sim a new house with a new mail box and locked the gate to the pool in the back yard, because you know cold out. i dont want my sims dying, im also playing week 4 of the reaper event. but all in all i started getting a line of mail carriers that couldn't get to the mail box when its in front of them. is this a bug or not???
