Marriage/last name
When our sims get married, can it go back to them getting the husbands lastname.. it’ll help with them family tree. So we don’t have to manually change the lastname it’ll automatically do so.

@savonica94I found out that when marrying, the Sim that poses the question will be the surname giver or the household in which your Sims are living will provide the surname. Also when you start the marriage as an event the first Sim you choose will be the one that gives the surname.
In the family tree I created most of the Sims have the same surname.
Have fun playing. 😉- @Trismagistos Mine doesn’t work that way .. it usually takes the person who clicks get married , now it doesn’t change at all i have to manually change it.
- @savonica94 I will test this issue in my family trees and see if something has changed recently. I will report as soon as I know more.
- @savonica94 My sims have never taken the last name of their marriage partners. I personally don't have an issue with this. Taking the husband's name is not a universal thing. I know I would not like it if this happened automatically.
I totally agree with you, @PoptartJuniper! And there is always the second option: give the spouses both surnames, like they do in Brasil. Btw. this option is, with some effort, also available in my country. 😎
- @savonica94 I hope they *don't* do that. Let the married person choose that if they want it, not *force* it on them.
