Missing Build/Buy Content

Is this a big problem because up until the Businesses & Hobbies pack, I have never lost items in my game or had a lot of the problems everyone talks about.

I no longer have the curtain extension from the Modern Luxe kit or the Spice of Life spice rack from base game.  Don't know if I'm missing anything else but I use these items constantly and am very upset that they're gone.
