More characters needed for last name

I’m making me and my bf in the Sims, but his last name is too long. I need 2 more characters to put it all in but it cuts it off when I try to. Is there a cheat I can use to have more last name characters, or do I have to suck it up?

    @Missy-fluff I don't know a Cheat to allow more Chars in a name, but if you use MC Comand Center (a mod) you can allow more than 14 Chars in a Name.

    I never see a Cheat for this, only the mod.

    But I don't know how good this works.
