@RandomBuzziness Oh, I didn't mean the contents of the fridge.
I meant the plants if I haven't harvested them yet upon moving.
Like, if you have a bellpepper bush in a planting pot for example and move. The bush and the bellpeppers will be moved to the household inventory.
@MeltingPenguins Oh OK i got ya :D For something like that I would just super-sell all the harvestables that morning and move the plants into my household inventory before moving. After the move I place the plants in Build mode and then it's back to business as usual (i.e however you would normally harvest or sell your harvestables). I only keep a small inventory of fruits and veggies in my refrigerator for cooking meals & I super-sell all the rest.
- Psychotps6 years agoSeasoned Ace@RandomBuzziness I'm the same way. Keeping the entire list of household items is a pain to sort through. I just super-sell plants, stick anything I want to keep in inventory and sell everything else.
One thing I was just thinking... I've recently started using the chest (forget the name) to store collectables so they don't clutter up the sim's inventory. When moving, if you just place the chest in inventory, all the items that were in there stay there, right? I suppose you could use that to store a bunch of stuff and want to keep them together and out of the main houshold inventory list...- CGrant566 years agoHero+
@Psychotps I assume you mean the chest than came with DU. If you leave stuff in the chest and just drop the chest into a sim's personal inventory, I have found things tend to disappear. It's hit or miss too. So it's best to move all the stuff in the chest to the sim's personal inventory then drop the chest in the inventory before you move.

@CGrant56 I like to use the storage chests from Jungle Adventure. I can keep them outside and they look like a stone decoration :D I can keep the other types of storage chests outside too, of course, but to me they look out of place when stored outside (that's just me though). I'm pretty sure that while moving I can put the storage chest in my household inventory and all of the contents will stay in the chest during the move. When I place it at my new residence the contents will still be inside. I'll test this today though.
