My baby glitched out to the middle of the air

I was trying to put my baby to sleep and the game glitched out and now it's stuck in the middle of the air outside and my sims can't get to it, baby can't crawl to me. It's in an unbuildable area to try to get to and I don't know what to do. Please help. I have restarted multiple times.

    to be sure, this is an infant and not a newborn ?

    If so, just travel somewhere and take the infant with you. That should solve it.
