@kusurusu I just couldn't remember how I unlocked the research machine, but I used it a lot for "debate stuff". My sim did unlock it and it was locked after graduation, however, it's unlocked now. So, it's all good.
@Iamthefeenix Are you talking about the object itself in build mode or the interactions in live mode being unlocked?
Moving this thread to General Discussion. There's currently a few issues in this one
- Already locked objects locking again which seems fixed for OP
- Not the right degree: Seems mostly a misunderstanding of what to pick. See all of @kusurusu explanations on how that works (Thank you)
- Graduation not really doing what it should. This has a thread here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/NEEDS-INPUT-DU-Sim-stuck-as-quot-Graduate-quot-after-graduation/td-p/8432477.. please use that.
If anyone still has problems with unlocks and repair doesn't fix it, please test on a fresh save as well and if you still see the same, make a new thread in the bug forum.

So, I took the same sim that got the phycology degree w/honors, from Britechester, to get another degree (after she was able to reach the ceiling of the education career as prof.) and everything went well, until... she graduated from Foxbury with a distinguished biology degree, w/honors as well, but the framed diploma she received was from Britechester. Britechester doesn't even offer a distinguished degree in biology. I've cleaned out my files and repaired the game, again, but it hasn't corrected the issue. This has to be a bug or an oversight.
I mean, it's not a HUGE issue as my game is still playable, but it's a fun detail that I wish could accurately reflect the degree my sim achieved.
I haven't seen anyone else posting about this anywhere and thought I should mention it somewhere. I wasn't sure if I should start a new post, but I will if that's what I should've done. Just, please, let me know.
Hopefully, this issue can be corrected when the next patch hits.

Well, I did try to report the bug, but, it seems, as I was still editing it, it was deleted. I probably didn't put it where it was supposed to be or who knows what. What I do know is that I have NO intention of reading this entire forum. The games got bugs. It always does. Either they will get fixed or they won't. I'll leave it for people who have more time to spend on this site than I do or would even want to if I had it to spend. Peace.
