My sim is locked out of their home!

My sims are locket out of their new home.

Build Mode works like normal and I can freely look around the house, but when I go into Live Mode I can only see the outside of the house. The buttons to toggle up or down floors are grayed out and my sims can not get into the house and neither can I. The glitch happened when I moved my sim from their previous home, a residential rental (Sims 4 For Rent), to their new home in Brindleton Bay, which is a regular residential. I have tried to interact with the door, replace the door and I have tried to move my sims out and back again.

I have every pack except a few kits and the only mods I have is MCCC (Which is up-to-date) and a mod to hire specific people as vet employees by LittleMsSam. I have never gotten this glitch before and I have no idea what caused it!

  • @DustyShoeSims Just to make sure the issue isn't mod related, please test with vanilla:  Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

@luthienrising Sure, I did all the things you said and the glitch is still happening. I suspect the glitch might have something to do with The Sims 4: For Rent because it has caused multiple other problems related to lots before. I do not have any concrete proof of that though...

Thanks @DustyShoeSims ! Since this happens without mods or CC, I'm going to move you over to Game Issues for support there. You might want to check the post pinned there too.

  • Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

If that is the case, please upload

Please either create a .rar file to upload or c/p the content into your post.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Uploading the file is meant for troubleshooting.
