My sim won't die

I have an elder sim who won't die, I play on short lifespan and she is currently on 120 sim days lived, which is a lot longer than my normal lifespan sims live. I've tried killing her by leaving oher outside for a few days, but magically her hunger went up after it hit 48 hours of her having no food. She was even fed to the cowplant at this time, when her needs were low, and she survived it. She's really bugging me and getting on my nerves that she won't die. Is there a cheat to make her die? I swear there used to be an option (or was it sims 3?)  to age a sim up using testingcheats, but I can't find it. I don't really want to move her out and delete her as I'm playing a legacy. Any suggestions appreciated, thank you.

It sounds like your sim is immortal from what you describe.

So if you have the SimsInfo mod, you could check her hidden traits to see if she is immortal.

    Hope this helps.

No, the only packs I have are Get to Work, Get together, Seasons and University.

Turns out she was a special NPC, with aging and death disabled. This makes sense now as I did have to age her up through CAS. And I'm pretty sure I had to manually add her to my household. Is there any way to get rid of her?

@pigsquiggle  The easiest way to get rid her since she won't die is to move her out of her household and delete her in Manage Households.

Keep in mind that doing that will cause her portrait that appears in the family tree will go blank for any sims related to her.  It will be as she never existed.

But since she was immortal and you didn't make her that way, then there was a reason the game did so their is a very small possibility that it could cause problems.  But I have done it before and the game just created a new sim to fill the original role.  It may have already done that if you moved her into a household some time ago and have been playing her a while.

Another way is If you use mods, then you might be able remove her immortality with MCCC then let her die like other sims.  But that doesn't always work and could mess up your save.  Again the chances are very small that it could happen but it might.

So I suggest you make a copy of your current saves folder and put it somewhere safe before trying either.  That way, you can go back if problems do happen either way.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thank you, I ended up moving her out and deleting her and everything seems fine at the moment. Thank you very much!
