My sims’ daughter is being called their niece?

Recently I had two of my male sims get married and adopt a daughter. When I went into CAS I noticed that in Household Relationships it said that one of my sims daughter was his niece. It also said that I couldn’t edit pre-existing sims... just wondering if there’s any solution to this problem... kinda annoying.

@rozzezzz Is the sim his niece? Does this sim have relatives who may have lost a child/baby to child services so it became added to the adoption pool? have you tried using the cas.fulleditmode cheat? It might let you fix the issue.
