My Sims cannot go up the stairs or into the 2nd floor bathroom

@toastydiannasaur Please reference my previous comment and edit. I pressed the button to download the lot I mentioned that I found in the library, and though it shows as downloaded/saved, it is not showing in my library. I restarted and it still is not showing. So I'm afraid I cannot test in my game. I would recommend that you check on and try the things I suggested in my first post. Good luck!
