While trying to split two sims from my household the game started clitching. Then i had to shutdown the game but managed to save it first. I believe that this was a mistake. Because after starting the game again, i can only find another of my two sims. Other sim does not even exist anymore, not even in the contacts or "not in the world" households. Second sim was in the other households.
I recovered last saved game. So that way i got my sim back!
It sounds like the game may have corrupted your household save when you shut it down during the glitch. Unfortunately, if the second Sim isn’t showing up anywhere—even in other households or the “not in the world” section—they might be lost. You could try restoring a previous backup save if you have one, or check the Sims 4 Tray folder to see if the Sim can be recovered from there.
I got sims back BUT the game still freezes when trying to split from the household. If I save the game at that point sim disappear again. I had to go manage worlds and that way I was successful to slip the household. And after that, the game crashed when trying to move different location. 😩
