My Sims won't go to school!

Hello there, 

Some of my Sim children will not go to school. I built like, a million-dollar mansion for them to live in. When it comes time for them to go to school, they ignore the command from me to do so, rather waving their hands "no" and going off to play video games, watch TV, or chat with one another. I don't use mods, really don't even know how they work. I did move them back into their old house, and they went to school. But I feel I shouldn't have to move them from house to house in order for them to go to school. If anyone out there has any suggestions, that would be appreciated! I've seen suggestions about uninstalling/reinstalling the game but I don't know how and afraid to mess up anything. Thanks again!

    @AndresLady1978, to me it sounds like something is blocking them from leaving the house.🤔 Usually when a Sim stands and waves their arms, this is what it means!  There is usually a little thought bubble above their heads with a picture saying that there is something in the way of their "goal".  Do the mom or dad have jobs outside the home, and if so can they leave the house with no problem? 🤔 

    I see you don't play with Mods, so at least its not that! 😉

    @AndresLady1978  I've moved your thread to the Sims 4 game info section.  I'm sure you'll get some excellent troubleshooting advice here.

    PugLove888, you are the BEST and you ROCK! It took me a little while, but I finally realized it, thanks to your reply! Something WAS in their way, misplaced staircases! Not only were they not going to school....once they were on the third floor of the mansion, they could not get back down the stairs: at all! All it took for me is to move each staircase an inch or two and voila! My Sims are going up and down the stairs and also to school as they should! I thought I was going to have to redesign the mansion! Thanks again, I hope the rest of your weekend is great!!!!

    @AndresLady1978, no problem -- that is what we are here for! 🙂  I'm so glad all your Sims can leave the house now, and won't fail school or get fired! 😉  

    Some of the most gorgeous houses in the gallery aren't play-tested.  It is always a treat to find a well made, beautiful home that the builder has tested in Live Mode!  (But sometimes we break down and can't help downloading an awesome house that hasn't been tested! 😳 😃  )
