You can't see inside your tenants unit unless you visit them so it is normal that you only see them in shared areas.

    I don’t think that’s it. When I switch to their household and try to make them go inside, they say they can’t go there

      Their front door must open to a shared space.

        Is there a way of doing that where I don't have to evict the tenants to change the property?
