I just want that they fix the setting toggles, especially fear and fame toggle. For sure I want that they fix all other things but this two are the cause I don’t want to play my vanilla game. I don’t play with toddlers and never got the gardening-dirt-bug. I played with CL-Animals once in my vanilla game and never again after my cow was dying although I had it off in settings.
The only problem which I really hate is the massive fps drops. I still get it very rare with my new handcrafted pc which has top hardware (including a RTX 4080). Although most the time the esc – method works now. With my older PC I needed to restart sims often and cap the fps on 60 (<-I am not sure if it was a placebo effect)
All other issue I can ignore in a vanilla game, don’t suffer from it or have a work-a-round for.
My biggest concern is console reliability and I hate to say it but personally feel like we're maybe being forgotten about, based on major open threads that have had little or no communication. As new content and the next steps for the franchise are in focus, the issue of console technical problems is like the elephant in the room. I hoped for more transparency but I feel like we're waving at the team from the rug we've been swept under...Sul Sul, we're still here and we can't play our game.
These are the main issues IMO. The first being the most serious, extreme crashing. I've not been able to play properly since the HSY patch months ago. As far as I can see, the last time anyone from EA engaged with it was nearly 18 months ago. I reached out to the team directly and they did kindly get back to me really quickly which I was grateful for, they did say they are looking at it so that's great to know but I'd really like an update and maybe some running dialogue with them on this thread. Some of us are giving up on our game in despair. I keep testing mine by opening it after updates and then going to CAS/build/manage worlds but after 3 or 4 such actions I crash to my home screen.
Those of us who upgraded to next gen received the unwelcome surprise that the game isn't optimised for our new consoles. So we get error messages, sometimes we see a significant drop in graphics quality too or we crash again:
Then there's this:
In terms of gameplay, these are just some that have been causing a lot of problems to add to the list at the start of this thread:

So I hope these get fixed soon but for the technical problems, I need them fixed so I can play. I've played since the Sims 1 came out. I get that this was the first time the same content and format has been shared across all platforms and I know that was always going to be technically difficult and bugs were to be expected. I can accept it's going to cause issues but it needs attention. I've put so much time, effort and not to mention money into this game.
If I do get Sims 5, I'll go back to PC. It's really sad to say that, but it was bad on Xbox One and for me it's been worse on next gen. It's my own fault because Microsoft told me there would still be reliability issues.
My friends keep buying me llama stress toys as gifts honestly lol. I'm getting a little collection of them. They've just presented me with a Calma Llama which I can vent my rage at. I'll sit it next to my Xbox Series S.🦙

- gooochyeee3 years agoSeasoned Ace@simsplayer818 Personally we should have a dedicated team looking into console (both) glitches specifcally.
- simsplayer8183 years agoHero@gooochyeee I agree. I mean, that may already be happening but we don't know about it. If we had more dialogue then that's the kind of thing we'd find out. I know there's a dedicated Project Rene staff but I'd like to know if there is a team with the sole focus on Console technical problems. I know that they are going to look at Console Controller performance because they started a thread asking for input. So that's one thing that's good to know at least.
