UPDATE!
I'm not sure what caused it, butI repaired my game and it fixed the problem! In hindsight, I probably should have tried that first. 🤪
I don't think so... My issue is the updated houses are showing on the world map, but not when you play them, it's the old default houses. Then once you enter build or live mode it updates the world map to show what's actually there, the old default houses instead of the new updated ones which should be on a new game save.

When did your 'new game' create? And does your save folder has any save file before 'the new game'?
Those renewaled houses were provided on Jan/14/2025 update. So if your save folder has the save file before that update, the original houses are displayed.
How's your case?
I just made that new game today. I have a save from when they were first updated and everything was fine, but it was like that today when I went to make a new game.
I have saves in my folder from before the update, but that new one was just created today.
