New save old household

Hi. I have a corrupted save. I need to start a new save but I have a supersim with around half way to achive all that the game gives that comes with the super sim title. Aspirations, traits, special connection family ties, top level jobs and many diplomas with honor. What shall I do in order to have all of these in the new save so I can carry on with the sim to complete the supersim challenge?

I never had to do anything to fix my game before. This is so new to me. Can I please have some advise in a simply way to follow what am I to do to have my supersim in the new save. Thank you.

    Thank you to answer.

The corruption I notice is when I visit a nightclub or park there is no sim activity at all. In the club/bar there is no bar tender and not one sims comes in and enjoy the drink or mingle with other sims. Not my own created sims nor npc. The venue is empty.  The save I have issue with is modded but for now I removed all mods and scrypts. Still the save act as I described it above. When I start a new save with a new sim cretaed in CAS the bar/club is functioning as the game intended to be.

Regarding pictures and sim inventory items. I understand I will lose those. I got an advise to save the family pictures to my gallery and place them in the new build in the new save when I move the household in. I hope in this way I can hang onto the family memories. I can go without collectibles. Take time but I can re gather those. My only worry is the diploma that the sim receive after attending the graduation ceremony. I am not looking forward to go to university again.

  • Hi there,

Of the data you listed that you want to transfer, relationships and items like photos are difficult to move as they belong to "that Sim." For example, collectibles will remain in the house if you save each item individually in My Library, and they become the property of the Sim who purchased the house. I haven't tested whether game are recognized as same Sim to the Sim who purchased the house and the Sim in the photo, so I don't know. I think the same applies to diplomas. Achievements remain as the Sim's own data, so graduating from university should be recorded in the profile.

Regarding relationships, if they are family, saving them as a single household in the Library will retain the recognition of them being family. I don't remember if the relationship values remained the same. Sorry.

You mentioned starting with a new save, but if you could describe the extent of the save corruption in more detail, someone might know a solution.

In any case, please specify the platform you are playing on.
