New update and updated mods

Hello Sims team,

Sorry if this bug has already been reported.

Knowing that there was a new update, I waited a couple days before updating anything (including mods). Today, I decided I wanted to play so I updated my mods first, then the game. Activated my mods and restarted the game - plumbob loading screen was fine and then just a black screen.

Now, I can't deactivate my mods, and removing them from the folder has done nothing... How do I play my game?
