Not recognizing the family

Hello, also, is anyone so annoyed that sims don't know they're family? Or when they keep calling and asking for advice on whether to have a baby or get together... I don't know, I don't know them :D

  • @Domcamen Most of the time I am amused when a sim calls me to congratulate my friendship with my child, but yes, sometimes it can get a little annoying. I know the sims team toned down the calls, so believe it or not, it used to be worse! lol

I think everyone has at least one sim in town desperate for advice on babymaking...looking at you, Bella Vatore (nee Goth, RIP Mortimer)! I like it for the most part since sometimes I forget to advance storylines with certain sims.

As far as family, my biggest pet peeve is not recognizing step parent relationships between grown sims who live apart. Going with my example above, Caleb Vatore flirted unashamedly with step-kid Cassandra because she was out of the house and was too old to have "adopt as dependant" selected. Which I suppose is fine if you LIKE to play wild like that (hey, no judgement here!), but it shouldn't be autonomous, lol.

I would jump for joy if the calls completely disappeared from the game and they only called if I happened to not want to go somewhere. And the advice completely turns me off, sometimes I really want to turn off the game:D it's a shame that it just can't be turned off anywhere in the settings:/ otherwise I would have completely enjoyed the game, but this is really spoiling it, I guess I have to start ignoring it, because I won't get used to it:D
