Not sure if this is a me issue

I just barely downloaded the game(just finding out it was free on my laptop) and I'm not sure if this is a me issue or what, but when I first created my first sim it wasn't allowing me to make my own name other than pick pronouns. For names it only lets me randomize names even though it's showing I can type out a name for my sim.

    could you post a pic of CAS ? Usually you should be able to just put the cursor in the field for the name and type.

    What exactly isn't working for you ? Can you not type in the field or do you not see it ?

    Also are you using mods/cc ?
