NPC Husband is an Elder but in Simology shows as a YA

My sim married an NPC although he shows as having gray hair and is an elder in CAS, in Live mode he appears younger but still with gray hair and in Simology shows as being a YA. He probably ahould have died already at this point. He also rarely has any of the elder issues most sims would have like being sore after a workout or being able to perform any of the social prompts that come up for elders. I've tried resetting him and entering CAS then back to live mode because sometimes that does reset him, but nothing really works. I have several of the packs but everything in my game has been purchased through EA. I noticed some of these bugs come up after installing Lovestruck and Hobbies and Skills.
