I uploaded a house to the gallery with a garden full of rare and special plants. The death flower is there too. You can download it and place it in your game for an unlimited supply. Look for Modern Beach House 2.
You can open the gallery and search for deathflower and single rooms containing it are available for download.
This is the easiest way I know:
1. Ctrl + Shift + C
2. Type in bb.showhiddenobjects
3. Press Enter
4. Search up Death Flower as if you were searching anything up
5. It should should show up
So annoying that the grafting/splicing to create rare flowers/fruits is 'broken' now - since the patch associated with the Seasons Expansion (yes, I know... more accurate to say 'rarified'. REALLY rarified. But don't get me started on that one...) Now you can purchase rare seeds packets at a high gardening skill level until you get the seed/flower/fruit you want. Also, If you still need it and want a Death Flower plant with a flower blooming on it, I have uploaded a room with one to the Origin Gallery for you called "Death Flower and Plant". It is under my ID/username and hashtag: #SheriGR . There is also a death flower in 'debug'.
They can also be found in rare seed packs, although they cost $1000 each pack
@AmberHaakman, very true!:eahigh_file: That was a recent addition, though, after they changed the gardening system when Seasons came out. I think they put the rare seed packets in the game because they changed the chances of getting rare plants through splicing, like @SheriGR mentioned above. And besides the price for a rare seed packet, there is no way to know or control which rare plant you will get. 😞 I just had a Sim purchase 20 rare seed packets and she didn't get one Death Flower, but she did get every single Magic Bean from the old Plant Sim Challenge! She also got orchids and Growfruit! 😉

Is it base game compatible? 🫣 I only have like 5-ish expansion packs for now. 😅
