    Your sim needs to join the Secret Society to get that mask. When they join the Secret society they get a mask.

Oh my god — and here I was thinking it was a bug. I feel kind of embarrassed for coming off like such a noob.

You don’t have to feel embarrassed at all! All the time we are all discovering things in the game that we didn’t know about.
