Paranormal Candy Jars - how to collect them?

My sims is a paranormal investigator and I made it my mission to collect all possible specter gifts. I have everything else except a few of the sould scraps and most of the candy jars. Does anyone know if giving specter certain types of gifts has any influence on what they give you? I've done 20-30 gigs, always give gifts to specters and mostly get totems, specter sips and clay hands. But only 3 candy jars so far. This makes completing the collection very difficult ☹️ I don't want to cheat, but I was hoping maybe there is a possibility in the game to up my chances :D

    @katihensen I feel like I get them pretty frequently? But I don’t know if it’s anything in particular I’m doing differently or just the whims of a random loot table. I tend to give food/baked goods as presents to the green specters, and get mostly candy jars, totems, soul scraps, and specter cakes in return, with the occasional specter sip or wraith wax.

    @PipMenace I mostly give food too, but I do the hard gigs so red specters. Maybe green ones give more candy jars, I will have to try that. Thanks for the tip 🙂

    @katihensen I also tend to collect most of my rewards by just living on a haunted lot and giving gifts to every specter I see rather than trying to collect things at gigs. Gigs I'm just trying to clear so I remove haunted items as that's quicker and more reliable than trying to calm/bribe specters.

    @PipMenace I turned off the haunted lot, because the specters on my home lot are super picky and more than half of the time they don't like what I give them :/ But specters on gigs are always happy with my gifts. On hard gigs I have to give a gift to 5 specters and the gig is done.
    I will try more of the easy gigs, maybe green specters are kinder :D

    @katihensen It tends to be random since I'm still trying to get the red spector in a jar. I have Crystal Creations and wear a charged Amber necklace on top of my Rainborz ring and ghosts always seem to accept my gifts. Green Spectors are sweet and I always get a playful moodlet from them hitting me with what looks like ghost glitter lol
