Hi, my sims keep getting calls from friends and family about relationship changes eg having a new partner or breaking up, but in game these relationships aren't changing the sim that called won't even know the person they are "dating".
any advice on this?

I'm pretty sure there is also a thread about the phone calls, but it's basically the same issue.
The calls and stories should work on played Sims though (at least it did a few times for me). The game treats played and unplayed Sims differently and relationships of unplayed Sims will always be removed, which makes no sense with this feature unfortunately.
