Placing community lots from gallery doesn't retain lot type
After installing the new Eco lifestyle expansion, I created a new save and went to build out Newcrest.
I had a couple of lots in my gallery that I wanted to use, specifically some restaurants. as I was placing the lots, I recognized they were all being placed as residential lots instead of the community lot type they should have been. In the case of the restaurants this adds an additional layer of frustration because that means that it resets the menu in the costume options that would have been present.
I then went and edited the lot type, And it was able to save the lot type at that point. I then went back to the gallery and placed the lot again, and the lot type was retained. In other words, replacing lots from the gallery seems to take whatever default lot type tag is on the zone before placing it rather than adding whatever tags it should have attached to it.
Am I the only one with this problem? Is it a bad installation, or something else?
When you place a lot in edit world there is now an option to keep it as the existing lot type in your world (i.e. residential), or to keep the lot type that the lot is (i.e. restaurant). You have to choose this option, if you just click yes it will keep it the same as it is in your world.
This isn't a bug but a change that came with a patch.
