Play Sims 4 in China
Hi, I understand from EA support live chat:
1. Sims 4 or expansions / stuff packs purchased in other region's Origin store can be played in China Mainland.
2. There's NO Origin store in China Mainland. To purchase, base on your IP address Origin will direct you the nearest Origin store (EA support has no idea where it'll be directed but gave me the answer "base on IP address")
3. Alternatively, according to support, gamers in China Mainland may purchase EA games from third party stores and activate them on Origin platform. (not sure if those stores require VPN...)
From my personal experience back in 2018 in China Mainland, I couldn't even log in Origin successfully, let along playing it. It's 2019 now, does anyone know what's the best way to play Origin games (Sims 4) in China Mainland?

I assume that you can't log in China not because of Origin blocking a connection, but Chinese government blocking it. There were plenty of users from China who played TS4 (the one that I remember from the top of my mind is custom content creator SLYD). I assume they use VPN for this. This is how people in China view youtube and other blocked websites. But I am not entirely sure that it is safe to use it there. You can for sure use VPN and Origin together if it's only for playing the game.
