kaseyanne5 I'm currently playing that very lot! I've added a gate at the spawning point because it was annoying me, I expected them to spawn near the front door but they don't. Last time I played this lot my Sim adopted a toddler whose needs declined pretty quickly as she was so far away, so this time I was prepared.
simsplayer818 oh, what does the gate do? And where does it go? How do you add it at the spawning point if it's off the lot? Because my played sims all spawn right at the front of the lot (like when they travel, go to school, work, etc.), and then I just wait for the guests to show up. I just find it so annoying that they take forever to actually get to the house.
kaseyanne5 for me the Sims arriving at the lot are on the wrong side so they were either stranded at the fence and end up leaving or they have to walk all the way down one side of the 64x64 lot and then all the way along the other side to the door. It takes ages and my Sim was late for work as well as guests not arriving at parties, etc. So I added the gate right next to the spawning point and they just go straight in instead of just hovering there. It just made access quicker. I added a side door too. I've still got my nice front porch as I want it but I've given up on using it as the front door. It just takes too long to reach it 😞.
