Okay, so yes I have mods, but I disabled them and it still happened. My power cut off when I left the house to go to work. There was no warning whatsoever. I just remember the first time it happened was when the Landgraabs said they would cut them off and asked if i was ready or not. Since then, my power has just been getting cut off without the landgraab warning everytime I leave the house and come back. Is this a glitch in the game, because it's really annoying to be unable to use a lot of stuff in my apartment? I am not sure what else to do. I tried repairing the game in origin; that didn't do anything either. I have looked at other forums and it has been happening to them too, but so far it has not been solved. I am not using a mac. I'm using windows, hp envy computer.

I don't think people are understanding that it does not have anything to do with Eco or paying the bills. The same thing is currently happening to me ! My bills are paid and I do not have that Power conservation thing. The landgraabs turned off my power after saying a squirrel messed up everything and asked if I was prepared I clicked "prepared?" and then my lights went off and has been going off and on ever since. I even put solar panels on top of my house and that doesn't even work. So I definitely think it's a glitch in the game and I play on PS4.

Yes, this is a bug/glitch when the Landgrab power is always shut off. For me it happens at an apartment in Green Harbor. I haven't found a permanent fix, and still figuring out what triggers it (maybe has to do with leaving the lot), but here are some things to try, that temporarily at least, worked for me:1. Go to Manage Worlds and then back to household. 2. Try moving out Sim and moving them back in. 3. Save and exit game, and then start again. Each of these worked for me but only temporarily. I don't know if one works better or for longer. I'm going to permanently move my Sim out of the apartment soon though.

@SophieBxnks You can repeal the NAP that does this. In an apartment you can't really setup wind turbines and solar panels so that is your only option. I advice that you check the description of the various NAPs to see what they actually do.

It does not seem to have to do with paying bills or the NAPs.For me it started with the phone call from Landgrab asking if I was prepared, and I selected "Prepared?"Then the power was cut off immediately. My Sim lives in an apartment in Green Harbor. It did not come back on after several Sims days. I knew something was weird and found a thread on Reddit mentioned try exiting the game and restarting, and that worked. I played normal for a while. Then a couple days later, today, I'm playing again my same household. My Sim wakes up and the power is cut out again, due to Landgrab (as another simmer posted a screenshot, you can see this in the pop-up menu when you try to do something that requires power). I agree, I think there is a bug or something. It'd be good to understand what triggers the landgrab power cut offs. I'm mean, how many "squirrels" can they have?

Apparently this is still a bug in February 2021. It just happened in my game yesterday. The power was shut off for a squirrel problem & my Sim got an 8-hour tense moodlet. I had to save and quit before the 8 hours were up. The next time I started playing I immediately got a Last Exception error and the power was back on again; however, any time my Sim travels to a different lot and returns home the power is off and it doesn't come back on no matter how long I wait. If I go to the World Edit menu and then back to Live mode the power is back on but the bug repeats itself every time my Sim travels to a different lot and returns home again. I finally gave up and reloaded a back-up save. The next time I got the notice from the utility company asking if my Sim was prepared I selected the "Of course!" option and they did not shut off the power, in fact they even gave my Sim a discount on her next utility bill.As a test I was going to try saving the lot to My Library and replacing the house to see if this cleared the bug but I am recovering from Covid irl and I was too tired to try it before I gave up. (I am feeling much better today!)I have all NPC voting for NAPs disabled in my game options and there are no active NAPs in any of my worlds. My Sim's utility bill was fully paid up prior to this event.Btw, I have clicked the Me Too button on post #1

You have the power saving NAP enabled which means that one day a week the power will go out. Either repeal this or install wind turbines and/or solar panels.

Using the Eco Lifestyle extension pack. Every Thursday my apartment loses power. No lights will switch on and the whole place remains in darkness until 9pm. Is there a way to disable this without deleting the expansion pack, so I can have my apartment lit up again?

I would recommend those NAPs you find beneficial for your play style. In an apartment some of them don't make sense such as green gardening.

I don't have the power-saving NAP in affect. I'll attach the NAPs that are. The Eco-Friendly appliances NAP doesn't say anything about cutting off the power if you don't adhere to certain power usages either. I did repeal the eco-friendly appliances one just to see if that is the issue. However, it doesn't say anything about cutting off the power in its description.

You do not have Power Conservation enacted. Did you have it enacted at some point? Just to make sure these are the enacted NAPS in your neighborhood? Each neighborhood have their own set of NAPs if NPC voting is enabled (default).

I don't remember seeing the Power Conservation ever enacted. Maybe it was when my lights first turned off the very first time when I got that warning from the landgraabs, but that doesn't explain why it's happening now. I just took this screenshot today. At the moment the lights actually were on, but only because I just started the game back up. I went back to work, after I took that screenshot, and the lights were off with no indication from the game as to why @jpkarlsen.
