prompts not working

I've only got the one save file and my game is having issues all of the sudden.

I'm unable to complete quest goals, even when preforming the tasks given such as: ordering food for the table on a date won't register as being completed.

Sims abandon tasks randomly even when queue isn't full or objects like doors or windows vanish.

Sometimes the sim will get stuck but often just going to manage worlds fixes it.

My employees aren't showing up to my retail store I'm unable to ring up customers manually by clicking on them and selecting ring up customer because the prompt isn't available. 

when opening the game if I select the lifetime wish panel a quest bar shows up listing fulfil wish, complete task in lifetime achievements, spend satisfaction points. but suddenly its blank and all I can do is leave it be or exit it.

I've tried using resetsim but keep getting sim not found.

at least one of the packs I got for free is not showing up in my owned packs.
