Questions about Social Compatibility

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96.365.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? a variety (seems unimportant to know, but obviously i have growing together)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? in the relationship panel, i have puzzle pieces with most of the sims, however some sims don't show any compatibility whatsoever.
What happens when the bug occurs? despite meeting my sim's partner through gameplay (ie. not pre-made in CAS) i cannot seem to identify if they're compatible or not, as the puzzle pieces don't appear on the sim portrait or in the sim panel. similarly, certain random townies (such as knox (an NPC) and other playable characters) don't display compatibility either.
What do you expect to see? social compatibility puzzle pieces to indicate the compatibility of my sim with other sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

obviously the social compatibility feature IS working, but i'm confused why it only applies to some certain sims. is this a part of the pack features? it doesn't make sense. it's not like it's consistently excluding sims (such as special gameplay/pack characters), just random townies here and there.

    I recently bought the Growing Together expansion pack.  I love the addition of social compatibility, but it seems unbalanced or broken.  My Sims almost exclusively have good or amazing compatibility with every Sim they meet.  I've had Sims with opposite likes and dislikes for every social category with the "distant" dynamic, yet they have "amazing compatibility".  Sometimes Sims with identical likes and dislikes, and the "close" dynamic, have bad compatibility.

    I use CC and script mods, but experienced the same issue with all mods removed, cache cleared, EA app game repair, and a new game.  Is this intentional or a bug? (I will now refrain from saying "compatibility" for a few weeks lol)

    @RoxxyKaos91 I'm going to move this to general discussion so others can share their experience.

    For me personally it's been most neutral, and a few good, no amazing or bad but my sim hasn't gotten out much and doesn't know that many Sims.

    I was wondering how compatibility works. Some sims that my sims talk to show how compatible they are ranging from awful to amazing but there are some who just don't have a rating at all. What does that mean? They are neutral?
