Sim won’t finish making cake
So my sims will do all the cake making stuff at the counter absolutely fine, but when it comes time to put the cake in the oven they act as if there is something stopping them or they can’t get to it. I checked if there was something in the oven and there isn’t so I replaced the oven in build mode just to be sure, still didn’t work. I’ve reset everything - the oven, the counter, the bowl, the sim, the fridge, EVERYTHING I can think of, still not working. I’ve tried different cakes and they all do the same thing.
I’ve gone to manage worlds, restarted the game, repaired the game, cleared cache etc. and removed mods/cc, nothing has helped so I can only assume it’s a bug.
I’ve seen this issue on the forum from about 10 years ago but from what I’ve read it’s either slightly different (e.g. sims being unable to reach the bowl) or most people have found it fixed by emptying something already in the oven that they didn’t realise was there so I thought it best to start it as a new issue.
edit: just tried to ‘cook a grand meal’ for harvestfest and it turns out I just can’t use the oven *at all*? 🙃
Braggsy6717h Hi! Sorry you're having trouble with the oven. Sometimes a routing failure like that can be caused by an overhead light fixture or decoration that hangs too low. I don't know if this is your issue but perhaps you could check that? If it's not something overhead, maybe you could share this home on the Gallery so we can test it. If you do decide to share it, name it something like "Broken Oven" or something so people know there is an issue.
