Random build mode issues since Snowy Escape? (Or Nov/Dec patches?)

I've been noticing some crazy build and buy mode issues that I first experienced since the Nov/Dec patches, and/or adding Snowy escape. (FYI, I have ALL expansions/packs/etc., and NO mods or CC).

It first started with some messages saying that I did not own some of the items in the build when visiting a community lot (I own everything, and I redecorated existing EA-made community lots with EA-only build items, so that doesn't add up), so the items were removed prior to loading.

This happened on several lots, but specifically noticed it in Waterside Warbler (which I had redecorated and expanded with EA-only stuff), because so much was missing. Most of the barstools were gone, along with the couches, armchairs, and some dining tables and chairs. Now, a few of them were unlockable career reward items (that I was able to place because it was a community lot) that were missing, but other career reward items were still there, AND some of the items that went missing were just regular EA items.

And I know for sure that the items were missing, because it was so empty (no seating in the karaoke rooms at all, and the couches outside were missing too) after I sent the visiting sim home, AND, the lot then had an exclamation point over it indicating that it no longer had all the required items for a karaoke lot! (FYI, I'm sure some missing items were also decor items, because it was so empty, and I'd bet that I'd resized some of those missing items, if that matters...)

As if that weren't enough, I've also had some issues placing build mode items. First off, while building on one lot, it wouldn't let me place gates into fences if the fence was completely closed in to create a "room." If I deleted one section of the fence, I could then add a gate (in SOME parts of the fence, but not others, even though there was NOTHING in the way), but the second I closed in the fence by re-adding the deleted section, the gate would disappear! BUT that all depended on where I placed the gate. I could place it one one tile, close the fence, and it would disappear -- BUT if I placed it NEXT to the tile where I wanted it originally, and then closed in the fence, the gate would stay? Clearly it wasn't blocked when I placed it, so why did it disappear when I closed in the fence nowhere near where I'd placed the gate?!?

And it only gets weirder. Now I'm on a new lot that I've bulldozed, so absolutely nothing there to get in the way. I build a new lot with the rounded corners (not octagonal, rounded), and add four rounded roofs over them. I was able to place the roof, walls, railings, and even exterior paint with no trouble. Then I tried to add doors and windows.

Oddly enough, it would let me place doors leading to the outside in a few spots, but not all, but the second I tried to place a door on an interior wall (straight, not rounded, and nothing else inside, so nothing in the way), it said the WALL was in the way of where I wanted to place the door?!? I had the same issue trying to place windows! And columns, too!

The only thing I could figure was that the roofs were somehow in the way (I had four round roofs up above and two gabled roofs). So I removed all the roofs to the side and voila! I could place windows and doors and columns anywhere I wanted to. I put the roofs back, and all but the columns stayed where I put them (they disappeared out from underneath the round roofs for some reason -- but not all the time, if I rotated the round roof, the columns might stay put, does that make any sense?!)

ANYWAY, I should've been set, but then I tried to add wallpaper to the interiors. With the round roofs in place, I put up tile in the bathroom, and the second I did so, one of the windows disappeared (but not the other two?!) as if somehow the wallpaper was in the way of the window?

So, I removed the round roof, replaced the window, put up the tile, and all the windows stayed! Then I put the round roof back and the window still stayed. It was a hassle, but I thought I finally had it all solved.

THEN, I tried to place ceiling lights! I had to move the round roofs again, but when I put them back, the ceiling lights were kicked into my inventory!

And FYI, this is the SHORT version of this issue, I had other problems along similar lines, making what should've been a quick build of a 100-tile house take HOURS!

Has anyone else had this issue (I couldn't find anything like this when I searched, except old stuff marked resolved), and is this the right place to report it so that EA can fix this issue? It is insane how broken build/buy mode are right now!
