I am experiencing random fires in my game, the touchless trash can, a wall painting, a wall mirror and a kitchen counter are some of the random items catching on fire. none of them are near a fire source. I do not have the bust the dust kit, so that is not the problem, I also have mods off,
It just happened again, this time it is a painting.

You might have a look at this topic in the AHQ bug report section and leave a "Me too": Sims 4 - Fire - Frequent Spontaneous Combustion
As I see in your posts, you already tested your game without mods. Unfortunately there seems to be no simple solution for this.
@thestarrsimmer Are you playing in a residential rental and had a cursed book event ?
There's a known bug with those.
