Random text message from Vlad the vampire

So, i don't know if its a bug or just something EA added, but my sim (hes not a vampire) got a random text message from Vlad (the vampire that game in the new GP) it said "i just want to say, welcome to the community and nice neck" kinda like, then couple sim hours later he showed up to my sims house. He didn't come in or anything but he just knocked on the door. He came during the night while the household and butler were sleeping. I'm kinda afraid he might comeback and bite one of my sims.

    Yeah, Vlad is kind of the 'lesson' for vampires.

    Sims aren't turned if you don't choose to do so but they do seem to break into houses and stuff.

    It's not a bug. It's a lot trait feature.  Check the lot traits.  If it is set to a particular one, Vlad will call you sometimes and visit.  You will also get free plasma packs added to inventory.  In a regular house in other worlds so far vampires don't show up unless you  have befriended one and if you don't have a particular lot trait in the new GP.  And you can avoid them breaking in by not opening the door the first time.

    I made this one family once and then at night on the first day of playing with them Vlad broke into their house and bit the females neck

    but it was weird cause i had already went to vlads house to turn them to vampires so they were already being turned and vlad came to their house and bit her neck

    All I do when i suddenly recieve the message is put the gameplay on pause quickly and lock the front door and the back door and if you have extra doors. If you are living in an apartment then thats all you need to do, but if you live in a house, he will look for a window to hypnotize you or make you dazed or whatever so i suggest to not put windows in your house😂, anyways just wanted to share with you the tip

    Is it nice of you wanting to help but note that this thread is more than a year old and that what you do have absolutely no effect. Follow the advice I gave earlier on how to prevent vampire breakins.

    I always get a message from him when I'm starting a new save. And usually (though not always) a night-time visit from him.

    The joke was on him once, as I'd splurged on excellent beds at the outset and sent my Sims to bed early. As he was creeping creepily through my house, they both woke up. They spent the rest of the night and half the morning having a lovely conversation with the fiend. XD
