- @jpkarlsen I have tried the cheat to add the reward traits, it works with others but not the brave one
Does your Sim have the Squeamish trait? If so she can not have the Brave trait.
no they don't have that either. they have just the regular traits and the paranormal investigator. I thought maybe her having the paranormal investigator that this was the reason why she couldn't have the brave one? I have used a cheat to delete other bought traits and they have worked but it didn't work trying to delete the paranormal investigator bought trait. I checked a few times of the spelling also. I was trying to see if I deleted the paranormal investigator trait if I could then buy the brave one but no luck.
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.I am now having this issue as well. It just doesn't allow me to buy brave. I have 3 fears for ?whatever? reason and they're making my Sim barely able to function beyond hiding under the covers nearly all of the time. I definitely have the satisfaction points, and do not have the squeamish trait. How do I fix this?
I asked this question in an already existing thread. The thread locked. Here I am in a thread that's alive, still trying to figure out how to fix this.
- @MagpieMorrigan Did you try to get rid of the fears first? Use the potion to cure the fears, disable (momentarily) the Wants an Fears toggle, then try and see if you can buy the brave trait. If so, then you can reapply the Wants and Fears toggle.
I did try the potion, but it still was not available. However, upon reloading the game, I was at least able to calm down enough to get rid of the creepy objects. The brave potion was still not available.

And are you using Mods/CC? I am not using mods or cc. for -that household only-, it still does not let me buy the Brave potion, despite having gotten rid of the immediate fears and managing to get rid of the spooky objects.
